Never Forgotten

This exercise of compiling various documents and photos not previously seen has been most revelatory. It has added to my knowledge of her hopes, dreams, sometime despair to finally a growth and maturity I never expected.

It’s safe to say that my love has only increased this past year and believe it to have given me a small glimpse of the love she now enjoys in whatever heaven means to all of us.

We hear the comment from time to time that there will never be anyone like them again and while true it is indeed a very rare occurrence. You’ve most likely heard the saying that what counts is not what someone says to you but rather how they make you feel and there can be no doubt that Marlene made us all feel special, appreciated and of course loved.

That while life will never be the same without Marlene, we can hope that eventually, we will see light again and find some level of joy until we can all meet again. Her memory becomes our guide, illuminating our paths with the warmth and brilliance she shared so generously. Though the void she leaves is immense, it is filled with her spirit and the cherished moments we hold dear.

In our hearts, we carry her legacy forward, striving to live with the grace, compassion, and strength she exemplified. And in doing so, we honour her existence, keeping her presence alive in our daily lives. Until the day we are reunited, let us find solace in knowing that her love continues to surround us, comforting and encouraging us to embrace life fully, as she would have wished.
