Crafts

Crafts were a big part of Marlene’s life. Particularly before we met when her passion for tole painting and the creation of various crafts sold at local craft shows to earn extra money took place.

From the calendar holder and the clock both on the kitchen wall along with a house mailbox and many others.

Marlene as well would give tole painting classes in her basement where she made a few lifelong friends.

I’m not sure if I was busy with work or what but I never fully appreciated the work and the art of those crafts as much as I do now. Learning to appreciate appears to be another lesson.

Further below is a craft started by Marlene and finished by Sonya.

Sonya left what she had done and added the word Welcome and drew the Dragonfly. Now it's a project they did together.  Both their signatures are on it so it's very special. Sonya did it to place it at her back door to welcome everyone. See photo further below.
