Poetry

A sampling of those found in my research. We are indeed fortunate to have stumbled on these documents written so many years ago.

I once had an idea for a book entitled “Two Lost Poets”, it was the story of my father and I, both aspiring to become better at the craft. He did much better than I did by having his works published but for both Marlene and I it seemed to have stopped once we met.

Perhaps the writing of poetry comes from the pain one feels by the knocks in life and the desperation that follows? Maybe only great poetry comes from that internal hurt and those very deep wounds that requires one to express themselves before something breaks you in half.

For whatever reason, I’m happy to report that neither one of us ever felt the need to express any such pain.
